In case you don’t agree with the sentiment score assigned to a mention, you can change it by clicking on the down or up facing arrows - down, if you want to decrease the score and up, if you want to increase it.
There is no limit to the score, but please keep in mind that if you change the sentiment score drastically, the charts, KPIs, and therefore, the insights will change drastically as well. This is because the system automatically adjusts the charts and calculations in the backend as you change the sentiment score of any mention.
Important note: the color of the phrases in the mention won’t change even after the sentiment is changed – so if it was red because the phrase was negative to begin with, it won’t become green even after you move the score up. Any changes regarding sentiment will change the current data in your profile, however, it won’t teach the system to recognize sentiment in a different way in future data. For that, we need to make changes in the backend based on exact examples of phrases that you’d like to change. For example: “it sucks” is generally negative, but for keywords regarding vacuum cleaners, we can set this exact phrase to become neutral, so it will be recognized as neutral in all future data in the profile.
