Neticle has its own application that can be downloaded into the Facebook admin platform. This gives access to the system to integrate the data into an already existing NMI profile.
This is a paid feature and is NOT available by default for every user of NMI. If you would like to use it, please contact your sales representative and/or CSM manager to discuss the admin steps required.
If it is available for you, follow these steps.
Posts, comments and replies can be gathered from closed Facebook groups if an admin of the group grants us access. To achieve this
- our app has to be installed into the Facebook group
- a user has to log in to Facebook via the NMI portal (the NMI user must haves admin / business (partner) user permissions)
During the integration process, a new keyword and a new own channel is created automatically. After the setup, this new keyword has to be set to active manually to see it in the keyword list.
- First you have to install our App within your Facebook group by going through the next steps:
- Log into Facebook
- Click on “Groups” in the left menu
2. Open the group you would like to manage
3. Click on “Settings” in the left menu
5. Click on “Add Apps”
6. Type “Neticle” in the search box on the left
7. Select “Neticle Media Intelligence” from the appearing list
8. Click on “Add”
9. After installation is completed successfully, you will have to log in to Neticle Media Intelligence via https://app.neticle.com. (If you do not have an account yet then you request it from your Neticle contact.)
10. Within Neticle Media Intelligence please click on your name in the top left corner of the screen and then select “Integrations” options from the dropdown menu. You will have to see a sidebar like this:
11. Please click on the “Facebook Groups” in the list on the left, and then on the plus icon (+) next to the label “Add groups”.
12. On the appearing sidebar, you will be asked to
-
- enter the name of the new keyword that will be created for the mentions of the Facebook Group
- select the keyword group in which the new keyword will be created
- enter the name of the Facebook Group you would like to monitor
13. After completing the steps above you have to click on “Save” and wait for a genuine Facebook authentication pop-up to show.
14. You have to authenticate to Facebook with your credentials as requested.
15. After successfully logged in to Facebook, the pop-up will disappear and the integration process will start. A countdown will appear within the Neticle Media Intelligence dashboard.
16. Within a few seconds the countdown will stop and the newly added group will be listed. The last visited time will be empty and the total number of visits will be 0 due this is a new integration.
All the reviews we collect through this kind of authentication process will only be available in your profile within Neticle, no other profiles will have access to that data.
If you would like to stop collecting the location reviews, you can select the group in the “Your groups” list on our integration sidebar and click on the “Delete” button.
Data privacy protection
Data collected via this integration will only be available in the profile it was initiated from, no other client / profile will have access to it.
While logging in to Facebook, it will ask for some permissions that may seem a bit superfluoustoo much, but that is the minimum for the service to work properly.
Data in NMI
The collected conversation data will be handled as all other mentions within the portal, and they will be assigned having all mentions in the general “Facebook” source type.
