How can I integrate data from MyGoogle business?

Neticle has its own application that can be downloaded into the MyGoogleBusiness platform. This gives access to the system to integrate the data into an already existing NMI profile.

This is a paid feature and is NOT available by default to every NMI user. Before taking the steps below, please contact your sales representative and/or CSM manager to discuss the required administrative process.

 

If it is available for you, follow these steps:

  1. Please visit:

  2. You will see one of the two following screens based on the permissions of the Google account you’re currently signed in to. (You have to be signed in with the account that has manager rights for the Google Locations you would like to monitor.)
  3. You have to install our Neticle Media Intelligence application on your account to let our system collect reviews from your locations.
    1. If it is possible for you to install it as administrator (“Admin install button”), we prefer this method.
    2. Otherwise, the “Individual install” or the simple “Install” will do.
  4. After the installation is completed successfully, you will have to log in to Neticle Media Intelligence via https://app.neticle.com. (If you do not have an account yet, request it from your Neticle contact.)
  5. Within Neticle Media Intelligence, please click on your name in the top left corner of the screen and select the “Integrations” option from the dropdown menu. You should see a sidebar like this:

6. Please click on “Google Places” in the list on the left, and then on the plus icon (+) next to the “Your places” label.


7. On the appearing sidebar, you will be asked to sign in with your Google account by clicking on the “Sign in with Google” button.

8. You have to follow the instructions given during the Google verification process. (Our application will not create or modify anything on your account, the required permissions are the minimal ones to be able to collect the reviews from the locations you have access to.)


9. After the Google sign in process, if everything went well (and you have closed the popup window as well), you should see some new options on the sidebar in Neticle Media Intelligence. You can select:

    1. a name for the keyword (saved query) under which you want the Google Location reviews to appear (feel free to change the automatically generated name),
    2. a keyword group in which the keyword will be stored.
    3. from the list on the bottom, the locations you would like to monitor.

10. After selecting the proper values, you have to click on the “Save” button to complete the integration process.


11. Within a few minutes, a new keyword will appear in your selectable keyword list, with the name you have chosen. (It takes our system up to 1 hour to collect the already existing reviews from all the selected Google Locations. The reviews created after the integration will appear automatically and within a few minutes in Neticle).

All the reviews we collect through this kind of authentication process will only be available in your profile within Neticle, no other profiles will have access to this data.

If you would like to stop collecting the location reviews, select the location in the “Your places” list in our integration sidebar and click on the “Delete” button.


For now, the user has to be a partner user to be able to create the keyword in the background. (The integration panel is visible to all users though.)
