You can choose to create insights from the main menu by clicking on the “Add new insight view” button or the plus sign next to the insight view in the main menu. This will open the insight creation window where you’ll see all available settings for an insight view.
Insight settings: the time period and the keyword and/or channel which you’d like to see the insights for can be changed, but there are no other templates, as insights can’t be generated manually. However, the system recognizes interesting changes and trends for the chosen keyword, and filters will showcase them for you.
Important note: It is possible that there are no insights for a certain keyword for a chosen time period, and that’s perfectly fine, however, there could also be more than one insight for the same keyword, time period and/or channel even. For example: new trending author, increased number of mentions, WOI fall, etc.
Display settings: You can choose to display charts and even mentions next to the insights, in case you want more visual or data input. You can select a summary chart, a simple chart (in this case, the system picks the most relevant chart for the given insight and will show it to you in the preview), or you can select mentions.
