Verbatim deletion

To refine your results, you can delete verbatims from your datasets.

While we recommend performing most of your data cleaning before importing data into Zurvey.io, you can still make final adjustments by deleting individual verbatims directly within the platform. The verbatims can come from static file uploads, or data streams like NMI integrations, API integrations, or Email integrations. To delete a verbatim, hover over the element and click the trash icon that appears next to it.

Bulk Verbatim Deletion

If you need to delete multiple verbatims at once, you can do so using the bulk action feature. Simply select the verbatims by checking the box in the top right corner of each element (1). The number of selected verbatims will be displayed in the top left corner (2), and you can initiate the deletion by clicking the trash icon in the top right corner (3). Because deletion is a permanent action, you will be asked to confirm your decision in a pop-up window.

Important considerations

  • Deleting records is irreversible and immediate. This action will permanently remove the text units and all associated metadata.
  • Deleted records can only be recovered in file upload and email connector cases. In case of file upload, if you change the dimension type of columns or the header setting, it will trigger a full reanalysis that processes the originally uploaded data, including the rows deleted later. In case of an email connector, changing the parsing setting triggers a similar full reanalysis.
  • If you have a Power BI integration set up, records will be deleted from the table storage as well.
  • Deleting records won’t affect your already used quota. This might result in your consumed quota being higher than your dataset record number.
  • All deletion actions are logged and can be checked in Settings-»User Activity
