What are the aspects?

Aspects are very similar to keywords, but they can only be created in attachment to existing keywords.

They filter down the keyword’s data pool to a group of mentions focusing on a specific subtopic. If you want to know more about Neticle’s keyword creation process, you can go to this section for a walkthrough.

Aspects contain:

  1. Synonyms: These are words that define the framework of the aspect. It's crucial to avoid adding the synonyms of the associated keyword to the aspect's synonym list. The aim is to focus on a more specific and defined topic within the data pool of the keyword.
  2. Exclude words: These are words that, if identified in any part of a mention, will cause that mention to be excluded from the aspect's results.

Important note: Aspects, contrary to keywords, do not have filter words, only synonyms and exclude words. The reason for that is that they themselves filter the mentions of the keyword they are attached to, but act as an independent entity next to the keyword.

Based on the previous example:

The keyword is a general Revolut keyword.

The aspect is:

Application

application

App]

app]

Mobile

Mobile

Iphone

Huawei

Samsung

Etc. (phone brands in case someone only mentioned their mobile phone’s type in their mentions)

Since the aspect can work separately from the general brand keyword, you can visualize them side by side in any graph – the keyword will show the general Revolut related results, and the aspect will show the results only for mentions that are about the application in any way.
