What type of filters are available for reports and charts?

A. Basic filters: these are required for any search

  • Date: date of the mention collected by Neticle (historical data is available based on your current package)
  • Polarity: positive, neutral or negative mentions
  • Source: all available source types and sub content types
    • News (article, frontpage)
    • Social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, general video, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Plus, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Reviews, Blog, comments, forum)
  • Keyword

B. Advanced filters:
  • Text filter: type in any text to search within the keyword’s data. You can use the “AND” connection to use phrase sets to search for certain topics.
    • Contains
    • Starts with
    • Exact match
  • Label filter: this searches for labels automatically recognized by Neticle within the mentions of your keywords. Start typing and you’ll see the available labels in the dropdown list and you can pick the one(s) you’re interested in.
  • Own channel/user filter: channels that have been added to the keyword as own channels and own users can be used to filter within the mentions (such as own Facebook channels, or Instagram posts etc.)
  • Aspects: (only available if the package includes aspects) Aspects are separate entities that have to be pre-set by Neticle’s team to search for certain topics within a keyword/keywords.
  • Location filters: start typing the name of a city or region and choose the one you need from the recommended list. Not all locations will be displayed - only the ones that are from the country of your keyword/s.
  • Author filters (name, gender)
  • Language filters: you can choose which language mentions you want to search for. Only the languages that have mentions with the chosen settings will be displayed (for ex.: in the case of Switzerland it could be German, English, French etc.)
  • Domain filters: type in any domain to see if there were any mentions collected from there
  • URL filters: type in any url to see if there were any mentions collected from there

Text filter example

Utilize cohesive phrases to establish precise search parameters within the text of available mentions. Once basic filters, such as keywords, dates, polarity, and source types are configured, navigate to advanced settings and select "Text Filter."

This feature allows you to input specific criteria for text searches and opt for the matching rule that the platform will employ:

1. Contains: The specified phrases are included anywhere within the mention’s text.

2. Starts With: Any word within the mention begins with the provided phrase.

3. Exact Match: The phrase appears on its own within the mention exactly as it is typed in.

Moreover, users can further enhance search logic by incorporating the "and" operator between phrases. Just type in “AND” (capital letters only!) between the phrases that you want to search for and the system will check if BOTH appear in the same mention.

This advanced capability creates a more intricate and customized approach to filtering, enabling users to refine their searches with precision. Whether you require a combination of phrases or wish to explore alternative terms, the inclusion of "and" adds a layer of complexity to your search queries, ensuring a tailored and sophisticated analysis of media content.
