In the left panel of the settings page, you can find the User management tab. As an admin, here you can invite users and manage user roles and user rights. If you are not an admin, this tab will not be visible for you.
a) Invite New Users
Opening User Management, you’ll see a list of the members already added or invited to your group. If there are more users you would like to enable to manage your group or contribute to your group’s datasets, click on ‘Invite new member’ at the top.
Next, in the popup that appears, enter the first and last name of the user, as well as their email address.
As an admin you can decide to invite new users as admins or simple users. You can also assign additional user rights to the invited person here.
If you’re unsure about what each of those user roles and rights mean, hover over the question mark next to them to see the tooltips, or check out section b) of this entry.
Once a user has been invited, their name will appear on the list in gray font as long as they haven’t accepted the invitation. You’ll also find a ‘Resend invitation’ button next to their name, which you can use if you think they might have missed the invitation email. You can also revoke the invitation by clicking on the red trash can icon at the end of the row.
Once the invited user accepts your invitation, you will receive an email notification.
b) User Roles & User Rights
In Zurvey.io groups, only two user roles are differentiated: user and admin.
Admins are the champions of groups, they can:
- invite new users,
- remove existing users
- manage group level settings like the white label interface,
- API tokens,
- Email service integration
- set up a two-factor authentication.
- create Access Groups, (only available if Advanced Access Control is enabled - see below)
Users can be assigned additional user rights:
- Can create datasets: Users with this access can create new surveys, upload files to analyze and set up connectors. They can also archive, delete and edit datasets, including starting reanalyses, renaming datasets and editing the surveys’ contents.
- Manage Custom Labels: Users with this access can create, edit and remove Custom Labels.
- Manage Audiences: Users with this access can create, populate and delete Audiences. Additionally carry out every related action in Audiences including segment creation, member edit and deletion etc.
These additional user rights can be assigned separately to users. This can be done directly when you invite a new member, or later, by ticking the boxes next to users’ names in the Members list. Admins by default have these additional rights.
