Power BI integration is available in Zurvey.io on dataset and profile level as well. You can enrich your existing BI dashboards with Zurvey.io data, and you can fulfill your unique visualization needs, too.
1. Connect the Dataset
Locate the dataset element you wish to connect to Power BI, click on its export icon (downward pointing arrow), then choose the Power BI option. (The option appears in gray font if the feature isn’t active for your group yet - talk to your Customer Success Manager to have it switched on). In the Power BI export popup that appears, you can find the necessary information for the integration, namely: Name of storage account, Access Token and the Name of the table.
2. Get Data from Table Storage
In Power BI, follow this route in the menu: File → Get data → Get data to get started → Azure → Azure Table Storage.
Then, provide the Name of the storage account and the Account key (Access Token), and hit ‘Connect’. Finally, from the File menu, choose Transform data.
3. Transform Data in Power Query
It is important to remove open-ended questions. Each one is composed of three columns:
- q_1 (answer of the specific question)
- q_1_entities (recognized entities)
- q_1_opinion_index (sentiment score)
Open-ended questions can be added to the dashboard separately, because of the data enrichment (entities, sentiment score). Otherwise, the data structure can be damaged. Later you should add these questions to the dashboard as a separate data source. Only open-ended questions should be expanded. All columns with JSON format should be transformed to text: click on Transform → Parse → JSON.
After you expand these columns as well, you can load data into the dashboard with the ‘Close and apply’ button.
4. Visualize Data
With the help of custom visualizations, you can create word clouds or graphs based on the most mentioned entities.
