You can connect any of your datasets in Zurvey.io to Tableau.
To do this, locate the dataset element you wish to funnel into Tableau, click on its export icon (downward pointing arrow), then choose the Tableau option. (The option appears in gray font if the feature isn’t active for your group yet - talk to your Customer Success Manager to have it switched on). In the Tableau export popup that appears, you can find the necessary credentials that will have to be copied into Tableau, namely the Dataset ID and the Token.
Next, open Tableau on your desktop and follow the Connect menu --» Connect to a Server --» More route. Here, the data can be connected to Tableau through the web server using the Dataset ID and Token.
Once the connection has been created, Tableau loads the data for a few seconds, until the Entities and Records tables become visible on the left. An automatically created table called Joined Records and Entities also appears. It is joined based on standard connection by Tableau, but this method often results in imperfect data. Text units are multiplied based on how many Entities they have. Instead of using this table, we suggest dragging the Entities and Records tables to the middle and joining them based on the Record ID.
When the Tables are joined, you can start building your dashboard.
