We have entered 2022, but some trends from the past years are still going strong. Ecommerce began its steep ascent in 2020 with the pandemic, and customers have never really found their way back into physical shops since, or at least not as much as they used to before. Along the new digital customer routes arose new digital needs as well. Shopping through applications besides (or instead of) webshops has become pretty standard, and it was only logical in the middle of the fintech revolution for payment methods to follow suit.
