We have entered 2022, but some trends from the past years are still going strong. Ecommerce began its steep ascent in 2020 with the pandemic, and customers have never really found their way back into physical shops since, or at least not as much as they used to before.  Along the new digital customer routes arose new digital needs as well. Shopping through applications besides (or instead of) webshops has become pretty standard, and it was only logical in the middle of the fintech revolution for payment methods to follow suit.

To get an impression of the current Buy Now, Pay Later landscape in Germany, and to predict what customers expect from ecommerce payments in 2022, we’ve investigated the online reputation of some already popular apps, and that of some still on the rise.
